Platform Support Engineer Level II

Platform Support Engineer Level II

Can be based in Milton Keynes or Warrington, with opportunities to work remotely from home.

This role is part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team, responsible for the maintenance, support and ongoing development of DPG IT Infrastructure covering end user computing and server technologies across all locations.

The role holder will be key in supporting the Platform Support Team Leader in championing the Digital Workplace and digital transformation programme with customer experience at its heart.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about technology and will focus on putting themselves into the customers shoes to deliver a first-class experience.

Responsibilities include

  • Build an environment that promotes a first-class user experience
  • Troubleshoot issues relating to end user and server platforms, ensuring all incidents and service requests are resolved within SLAs
  • Play an active role in transforming and supporting the Digital Workplace and any Digital Transformation initiatives
  • Responsible for the build, configuration and lifecycle management of all end user and server assets
  • Ensure our on-premise and Azure Active Directory are kept up to date and maintained
  • Support the administration and evolution of Office 365, including user management and licensing
  • Responsible for procurement and inventory of DPG IT assets, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained
  • Continually develop and maintain the Windows 10 provisioning platform ensuring software packages are continually updated and security policies are complied with
  • Monitor, support and maintain the DPG end user infrastructure in accordance with the Incident, Major Incident and Problem Management processes with a focus on driving down repeat tickets
  • Hold regular problem management meetings to identify and implement proactive fixes to repeat issues

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years demonstratable experience in a similar role supporting enterprise server Infrastructure and End User Computing environments
  • Be at ease with the Dominos culture that is informal, friendly, open and passionate
  • Experience of managing and prioritizing your own workload
  • Have a high level of integrity – can and does deliver what they say they will
  • Good understanding of ITIL, preferably ITIL Foundation certified
  • Microsoft PowerShell
  • eCommerce technologies including CDNs, Load Balancers and WAFs
  • Splunk, PRTG, New Relic and other enterprise monitoring solutions
  • Relevant Industry recognized certification or demonstrable industry experience

You must also have strong knowledge of the following technologies

  • Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems as well as macOS, iOS and Android, Microsoft SCCM and InTune, LAN and WAN networking concepts including switches and firewalls, Active Directory (Azure and on-premise) / Office 365 / Exchange Online
