To lead project methodology for the team and manage the IT project portfolio. Promote team achievements and the mission to the wider IT team and business, aligning to transformation strategies. Manage high profile projects and chair steering groups.

Responsibilities include

  • Defines ROI, scope, resources, timelines and budgets are in place across IT team projects
  • Manages resources, directly and indirectly, to complete projects on time and within budget. Work with finance on capital requirements.
  • Coordinate third party vendors for effective execution on projects
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Continually improve project methodology in line with the business and ensure team usage
  • Introduce and build fit for purpose project tooling
  • Keeps team and leadership updated project status and risk factors
  • Ensures consistency and adherence to standards, processes, and policies for all projects
  • Present and communicate out to business and wider IT team
  • Encourage and measure team KPIs for quality project delivery and continuous improvement
  • Adhere to HR policy on team objectives and line management responsibilities
  • Manage the financial controls of the projects and its successful delivery within budget

You will be expected to have knowledge of the following:

  • Broad experience in IT, preferably with a technical background
  • Experience of managing budgets and reporting on spend to date
  • Background in Retail, QSR, Franchising or eCommerce ideal
  • Project Management qualified and accredited with high level of practical experience. Scrum master an advantage
  • Able to use project management tools such as Workfront, MS Project, Asure DevOps or Jira/Greenhopper essential
  • Able to prioritise and manage a large number of tasks simultaneously while delivering to expectations
  • Expertise in influencing others and managing relationships
  • People management experience
